Tar, Setar
Tar and setar are two pillars of Persian classical music: the tar bright and powerful, the setar gentle and intimate. Children choose their instrument and learn how to hold it, tune it, and play their first notes and melodies. Step by step, they learn note reading, rhythm, and the dastgah system, the heart of Persian classical music, through pieces from the radif and repertoire written for children. These instruments build fine motor skills, focus, and a deep connection to Persian culture.
