Where permitted by law and with appropriate consent, we may also send information concerning new programs, workshops, concerts, events, promotions, or other Academy offerings.

Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks.

However, no method of electronic transmission, Internet communication, or information storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should exercise reasonable care when transmitting personal information electronically.

Access and Correction

Subject to applicable law and permitted exceptions, individuals may request access to personal information about themselves held by the Academy and may request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

For a minor student, such requests may generally be made by an authorized parent or legal guardian where legally appropriate. We may need to verify the identity and authority of the person making a request before providing information or making changes.

Consent and Withdrawal of Consent

Where we rely on consent, consent may be express or implied as permitted by applicable law depending on the sensitivity of the information and circumstances.

Consent may be withdrawn, subject to reasonable notice and any applicable contractual, legal, regulatory, or other restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide a particular service. Under BC’s PIPA, an organization generally may not require consent to collection, use, or disclosure beyond what is necessary to provide a product or service.

Third-Party Websites and Services

Our website, emails, social-media accounts, or other communications may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, content, or operation of third-party websites or services that we do not control.

Accuracy of Information

Parents, guardians, students, and customers are responsible for providing accurate and current information and for informing the Academy when important registration, contact, caregiver, authorized pick-up, or other relevant information changes.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, technology, service providers, legal requirements, or privacy practices. The current version will be posted on our website with its effective or last-updated date.
